What is the Dirt Circuit?
A timed-loop trail race with 3, 6, 12, and 24-hour options. You choose your finish line.
What is the course like?
* 2.9-mile loop
* Wide and single-track trails through woods and fields
* Two wooden bridge crossings
* Scenic views of Panther Creek
* Start/Finish is at the soccer fields (Base Camp)
Is this race a Cherokee Ultra qualifier?
Yes. Completing 50K or more qualifies you for the 2026 Cherokee Ultra.

Are aid stations available?
* Gels, bars, fruit, snacks

Is the race cup-free?
Yes. Runners must bring their own bottles, hydration vests, or packs.
Do I need to wear my bib in a specific place?
Yes. Bibs must be worn on the front of your body for laps to be counted.
Is pacing or crewing allowed?
Yes. Friends, family, and teammates may crew or pace runners.

Do relay teams have to switch runners each lap?
No. Teams can choose their own strategy for when and who runs.

What is rucking?
Walking or hiking with a weighted pack. A new 6-hour ruck option is available in 2024.
Weight requirements:
* Men: 30 lb dry
* Women: 15 lb dry
* Boys under 15: 20 lb
* Girls under 15: 10 lb
Rules:
* Must weigh in 30–60 minutes before race start
* No weigh-in means no finisher patch
* No removing or reducing weight mid-race
* Weights must be clearly stamped (plates, blocks, bumpers)
Finisher patchesawarded after official check-out with event staff.

Who receives awards?
Top 3 male and female finishers in each solo race: 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours.
Top team for 12-hour and 24-hour relays.
Finisher Awards:
* All participants who register before the swag cutoff (August 20) receive a race shirt and award.
* Belt buckles awarded to select high-achieving athletes.
* Awards ceremony occurs immediately following each race conclusion.

Yes. Primitive camping is included at Base Camp (soccer fields) for Friday and Saturday nights.
